I spent a few hours in the Manitoba Museum in Winnipeg last week with a friend from Mayne Island, B.C. We were lucky enough to have a guided tour. I think if every kid was exposed to that once a year they could never be misguided by the likes of gregoree when it came to science and evolution. I'm pretty sure the museum is light years ahead of what is taught in most school curriculum.

Wherever I travel I try to take in a Museum. Wikipedia:

"A museum is an institution that cares for a collection of artifacts and other objects of scientific, artistic, cultural, or historical importance and makes them available for public viewing through exhibits that may be permanent or temporary"

You are right. Museums try to update information to keep abreast of our growing understanding of life. They are the entire past and the future--rather than just a small room and a very very small book! -g-
