I don't need to read anything. I was part of it. I lived it. So did rat. The power and glory of this movement was in California, and specifically UC Berkeley and San Francisco, not Texas. Why Raygun tried to destroy Berkeley university. That may be Texas's experience, but it has little to do with the reality of the movement in its true form.

You need to try and open your mind to what I am trying to explain you. If you want to read about counter culture you need to read Thomas Wolfs "The electric cool aid acid test, or watch some Daria cartoons, or read a history of Eric Nord and the North Beach Beatniks.

The 60's was about enlightenment.

Watch A Daria cartoon and then imagine her at a YWCA camp! She would only be there if forced and then she would leave and walk or hitch hike home. And she would never join in. Never, never, never!

Beatniks were the founding fathers and mothers of the 60's.

Gertrude Stein was a beatnik.
