There is a federal agency that supports bankrupt pension plans similar to the FDIC. I don't remember the acronym, but I suppose it could get funds to it so that the pensions can pay.

Jay, after thinking and thinking about it, I have come to the conclusion that the only solution is either a jaychenian global click of the reset button or a Mesopotamian wiping of the slates, i.e., a debt jubilee.

There is simply too much debt and too many unfunded (and unfundable, given the debt) neo-socialist pipe dreams.

As to what may happen Thursday, more Twist 'n Shout, IMO, at best and good chance of nothing happening. The Limbo can't be danced anymore because the interest rate stick is so low already.
