Rich,

The 386 definately looks good on cheese charts. The system has many new capabilities, the problem in a deployment environment like Bosnia, for example, is having enough trained personnel to take advantage of the capabilities. IMO most new developments in the military are just same old tired ideas that haven't worked in the past but are simply given a new name in order to further someone's career aspirations.

Never had an M16 jam. Heard about it. We worried about it. Kept it clean because of the worry. But, we never had it happen. Personal experience.
