PM markets seem range bound. Not too long ago just the whispers of QE would send silver and gold soaring, but not any longer. QE is required to prevent deflation, and seems to be already priced in at this point. Where is the impetus for higher commodity prices going to come from?

Natural gas and oil seem to be headed lower. Not unless we see some meaningful rise in energy prices will we investors going back into PMs. I'd rather just stay away until a trend emerges. Volume is still low. Generally, I would say that the retail investor is scared and staying out of the market, but it could just be that a HFT (High Frequency Trading) server has gone down.
