First, release the Black Panthers and now we learn that a reported Florida Muslim terrorist walks. That's the Obama game plan. And when we can, we'll also supply the Mexican drug runners/terrorists with high powered weapons. When we're finished with that, we'll leak information that will place crosshairs on informants' heads and render Israel helpless by giving out the plans for its attacks against Iran. Hey, who'll you vote for in November? Is there a choice?

Feds drop terrorism charges against South Florida imam's son, accused of helping Taliban

By Paula McMahon, Sun Sentinel June 13, 2012
articles.sun-sentinel.com

Federal prosecutors dropped all terrorism charges against one member of a South Florida family accused of sending tens of thousands of dollars to the Pakistani Taliban terrorist group, according to court documents filed Wednesday in Miami.

No reason was given in prosecutors' one-paragraph filing dismissing the charges against Irfan Khan, 39, of Miami.

Terrorism charges are still pending against his father Hafiz Khan, 77, and his younger brother, Izhar Khan, 25. Both have pleaded not guilty to the allegations. Their lawyers could not be reached for comment Wednesday.

Izhar Khan was a soft-spoken, popular leader of the moderate Masjid Jamaat Al-Mumineen mosque in Margate before his arrest last year. His congregation said he only preached love and tolerance there. Hafiz Khan led the Miami Mosque, known as the Flagler Mosque.

· The two are charged with collecting and funneling at least $50,000 from South Florida to the Taliban, between 2008 and 2010. Prosecutors used a confidential informant, bank transfer records and more than 1,000 wiretapped phone calls to make their case.

The Taliban, which targets both U.S. and Pakistani interests, has been linked to al-Qaida, and government terrorism experts say it had a role in the failed May 2010 attempt to bomb New York's Times Square, among other attacks.

Three other defendants — Ali Rehman, Alam Zeb and Amina Khan — are considered to be fugitives still at large in Pakistan. Amina Khan is the daughter of Hafiz Khan and Alam Zeb is her son.

"Irfan is obviously pleased that the government has recognized what we've long known — that he did not send any money to Pakistan to aid the Taliban," his attorney, acting Federal Public Defender Michael Caruso, said Wednesday in an emailed response to questions.

"His happiness is tempered by his father and brother's continued imprisonment, but he looks forward to rebuilding his life with his wife and two young children. He is also profoundly grateful for the support of his family, friends and the South Florida Muslim community during this difficult time," Caruso wrote.

Phone calls to Irfan Khan's home were not returned and other family members could not be contacted.

The U.S. Attorney's Office in Miami confirmed the decision but would not elaborate.

"We moved to dismiss all charges against defendant Irfan Khan in the Southern District of Florida. The court has granted the request for dismissal. We are unable to comment on the internal deliberations that led to our decision. However, the charges against his co-defendants remain in place and trial is pending for those defendants in U.S. custody," Alicia Valle, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney's Office said in a written statement.

Irfan Khan was released from the Federal Detention Center in Miami in April after a federal judge agreed he could be freed on a combined bond package totaling about $700,000. His father and brother remain locked up in the detention center in downtown Miami and are forbidden from having contact other than when they see each other at court hearings.

Trial for the remaining co-defendants is currently scheduled to begin Nov. 5, though it could be postponed because of the complexity of the case and the voluminous amounts of evidence in dispute. If convicted, they face punishment of up to 15 years in prison per count.

Defense attorneys have said in court that they are working their way through enormous amounts of evidence, including recordings of calls that have to be translated by professional interpreters, in order to prepare their clients' defense. Much of the evidence in the case was obtained from wiretapping and was collected under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, which is frequently used in terrorism cases.

Executive privilege is usually associated with protecting information that passes through the Oval Office.

What did the documents reveal about Obama’s association with the operation?

Sharpton Blames Holder Contempt Charge On Racism

breitbart.com
by Larry O'Connor 21 Jun 2012

How easy it must be to live your life as Al Sharpton does. Only the race-baiting NBC News star can look at the tragic events of the Fast and Furious scandal that ended with the death of a border patrol agent and see Attorney General Eric Holder as the real victim. In the Huffington Post yesterday, Mr. Sharpton likened the House Oversight Committee's contempt vote on America's chief law enforcement official to the NYPD practice of "Stop and Frisk" which critics call a racially motivated police state tactic.

As I marched this past Sunday with tens of thousands in New York in opposition to the abhorrent practice of stop & frisk,' I couldn't help but think of our attorney general. Tattered down and publicly humiliated, AG Holder has been mishandled just like the young Black and Latino men (and women) who are demonized on our streets everyday. Chris Matthews of Hardball on MSNBC concurred: AG Holder is being profiled, stopped and searched.

Sharpton informs his HuffPo readership that Rep. Darrel Issa's (R-CA) committee has treated Holder in a snappy and demeaning way:

The highest officer of law and order in this nation has been ridiculed, scapegoated and handled as some sort of criminal throughout this 'investigation.' Turning over thousands of documents and overextending himself, AG Holder was spoken to and mistreated as if he were a child, and reminded that despite his esteemed position, he can and would be profiled.

Of course, the good Reverend never provides an example or a link to back up his claim. The reader is merely left to trust Sharpton on his assertion of racist behavior. And why shouldn't we? After all, his charges of racism in the past have been spot-on and always truthful. When you have a track record like his, you don't need to provide evidence of your irresponsible charge, your word is as good as gold.

Attorney General Eric Holder famously said that America is a " nation of cowards" when it comes to race. This was his first public pronouncement as the newly-sworn AG. If you tend to agree with Holder on this, can't we possibly excuse our hesitance to discuss racial issues on the obvious fact that race-peddlers like Sharpton use race as a cudgel to pound political opponents into the ground? In fact, Sharpton has made a lucrative career out of injecting odious racial politics into every single issue of American life for the past twenty years. And he is rewarded not just by a major broadcast news organization and radio network, but also by this President and Holder, himself.

Let's not forget that weeks ago Holder appeared at Sharpton's National Action Network fundraiser and helped fill the community organizer's coffers with big corporate bucks. The racial hush money is part of Sharpton's business model and the quid pro quo is palpable. Sharpton provides protection and, in this case, runs interference for those who play ball with him. For those who don't, you are susceptible to his bullhorn, thuggish tactics.

To make his "Stop & Frisk" analogy complete, Sharpton compares Holder to "victims" of racial profiling:

Not only did Issa and his counterparts never go after previous attorneys general or the Bush Administration itself, but they continue to treat AG Holder as if he is indeed guilty of the most egregious crime. It is the same sort of tactic we see utilized against the hundreds of thousands of innocent individuals stopped and searched by police. They have no weapon, haven't committed an offense, yet somehow 'appear' as a culprit.

Ultimately, it is Sharpton's own racial bias that permeates the article, his show and his entire world view. Unlike most reasonable American's who see Holder as a man who holds a powerful seat in government but is still accountable to the people, Sharpton sees him first and foremost as a black man. It's how he views Clarence Thomas, Herman Cain and Condoleeza Rice. The evidence suggests that when it comes to political commentary, Sharpton is the one who judges his opponents by the color of their skin first, and not by the content of their character (or lack there-of).

And as long as NBC News lets him get away with it, they are the cowards.,

How many other Obama orchestrated secret operations are underway in order to change policy through public outrage?

With lefties the end always justifies the means regardless of how many people die in the process.

Border Patrol Being Taught To Run, Hide & Throw Things, Not Shoot

Freedom Outpost ^ | June 26, 2012 | Tim Brown
freedomoutpost.com

It appears that the Obama administration is not only getting in the face of the American people with their immigration policies, but they are also running a little private campaign of their own when it comes to the border patrol. Instead of the border patrol doing their job in an aggressive case in public, they are now being taught to run away and hide and only as a last resort are they to open fire. Wait! No! They can’t do that. They are supposed to become “aggressive” and “throw things.

You heard that right. Local 2544 posted a brief statement in regards to the new “training tactics” they are being taught. Welcome to the new world of Barack “The Golfer” Obama and Janet “Can I have another doughnut” Napolitano.

In another nauseating series of “Virtual Learning Center” brainwashing courses that Border Patrol agents are forced to sit behind a computer for hours and endure, we are now taught in an “Active Shooter” course that if we encounter a shooter in a public place we are to “run away” and “hide”. If we are cornered by such a shooter we are to (only as a last resort) become “aggressive” and “throw things” at him or her. We are then advised to “call law enforcement” and wait for their arrival (presumably, while more innocent victims are slaughtered). Shooting incidents cited in the course are Columbine, the Giffords shooting and the Virginia Tech shooting.

These types of mandatory brainwashing courses and the idiocy that accompanies them are simply stunning when they are force-fed to law enforcement officers. Anyone with an ounce of common sense knows that any three of the above shootings would have been stopped cold by an off-duty law enforcement officer or a law abiding citizen with a gun. The Fort Hood shooting would have been stopped cold by someone with a gun as well. The shooters in these situations depend on unarmed and scared victims. It gives them the power they seek. We could go on and on with examples of shootings that could have been stopped by someone with a firearm. One of the videos in this course actually shows a terrified female hiding behind a desk as an example of how to “hide” from some deranged shooter. Multiple quizzes throughout the course and a final test ensure repeatedly that we know that we only have three options when encountering some murderous thug in a public place. 1. Run away; 2. Hide; and 3. Only put up a fight as a last resort by acting aggressively and throwing things at the shooter. Not one mention anywhere of “if you are carrying a gun and you have the opportunity take the shooter out”. Calling 911 in these instances is obvious, but we all know that waiting on the arrival of uniformed law enforcement will ensure more people are killed, injured, or taken hostage. Telling law enforcement officers that in all instances they are to run away and hide from some thug while innocent victims are butchered is simply inexcusable and pathetic.

It is always comforting to know that for those of us who carry a weapon when we are off-duty, if we should encounter such a situation, stop a shooter and save countless lives, we can look forward to being disciplined or fired by the Border Patrol because we should have run away to hide and then maybe thrown objects at the deranged killer instead of taking action and stopping him with a firearm. This, in addition to the scrutiny and second-guessing that will come from local authorities and the inevitable possibility of lawsuits and criminal conviction.

Welcome to the New Patrol.

This is the kind of thing that makes you want to pull your hair out. We are in the middle of an investigation where this administration used an operation, which was called Fast and Furious but should have been called Dumb and Dangerous, that put thousands of weapons into the hands of some of Mexico’s most dangerous drug cartels. Some of these weapons were used to kill American and Mexican citizens, including border patrol agent Brian Terry. They want their people to be weak and cut off at the knees while the real criminals face no handicaps. This is a demonstration of absolute stupidity on the part of the Obama administration who provide such non-sensical training.

It’s not bad enough that the federal government, under this administration want our guns, but now they don’t seem to want border patrol to use theirs either. What kind of fantasy world do these lunatics, who are running the asylum, live in?

Holmes Norton blames NRA for Brian Terry’s murder, Fast and Furious

Washington, D.C., Democratic Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton, who represents the city in Congress, claimed the National Rifle Association is responsible for Border Patrol agent Brian Terry’s murder and Operation Fast and Furious on Thursday, in what appears to be a last-ditch effort to protect Attorney General Eric Holder before he’s voted in contempt of Congress.

“Any doubt that today’s contempt resolution is political was put to rest when the NRA joined in to blow-torch vulnerable Democrats to vote for contempt today,” Norton said on the House floor. “The gun lobby is directly responsible for the gap in federal law that allowed purchases of guns here that were sold in Mexico and ultimately for the tragic death of a border agent. Yet our committee spent no time on the root cause of the tragedy because of a political mandate from the gun lobby.”

It’s unclear if Norton has any evidence whatsoever to back this claim up. Her spokesman did not immediately return The Daily Caller’s request for such evidence.
