buying back shares lowers book value.

If the buys are made at prices above book value/sh. If buy backs (and subsequent share cancellations) are made below bv/sh, the buys raise bv/sh.

TPX .. Repurchases in general may or may not reduce BV/share.
But, I agree, that must be taken into consideration.
The big issue here is "can they maintain a brand premium"? That's not a value stock bet I want to make.
