Same thing happened here many years ago and continues to happen today. Buddy Villines is the county judge. Got a new arena built, a money losing bottomless pit imho, nicknamed "The BuddyDome". Can't remember them all, millions for bicycle paths no one uses, a sidewalk bridge over the Arkansas river to a sandbar, another sidewalk elevated running over the top of a lock and dam, rebuilt a rusted railroad bridge over the river, etc. Yet every election, we got to raise taxes, we're broke! No shit!
