Portman will be 65 in 2020 which works, but I consider it a maximum in terms of ideal age to seek the presidency for the first time. And in that regard although Republicans can't help but think ahead to 2020 for Romney's VP, you can be certain that Romney is completely focused on 2012. Portman and Pawlenty both have solid experience, but as you mentioned Pawlenty had some trouble connecting with the public in his run. Also we have talked about Rubio a lot here on the thread and we all like him, but to be truthful he is a bit young.
