This stock is going down. The company is dirty. The CNBC interview was not at all impressive. I wish everyone could have seen the look on Dr Schmidt's face when he realized that Cramer was asking if he personally was going to buy any stock in the company. Both Cramer and Mark Haines seemed to take a very skeptical stance that I rarely see on CNBC. I will laugh at the longs who have referred to the likes of myself as a whiner when this stock is at 5 and change. I don't currently hold a position in this company, but was a diehard long for a couple of years. I have never shorted a company other than Novell and have only shorted Novell once via puts in an attempt to recoup some significant losses. My purpose on this thread was not to whine, but to try and warn. I have only involved myself as of late when I felt lurkers may be misled by comments from the likes of Scott Lemon. I feel I have never made derogatory comments towards any longs other than poor DJ, to whom I apologize.

A couple of parting comments before I permanently join the ranks of the shorts. The stock buyback was promised to be a consideration of the BOD at the last shareholders meeting (last April) and was reiterated as a priority issue by Dr Schmidt around the time of his hire. If I understand his comments correctly, this has not happened to date. I have no clearer of an understanding of Novonyx after COMDEX as I did before this event. The earnings report appears to be heavily rigged and I highly doubt it. Why the sudden rush to buy soon to be obsolete products? C'mon, what a scam. They appear to simply be repeating history with channel manipulation. How much of this revenue was the result of simply reloading the channel? Education revenues...mad rush to learn soon to be obsolete products? Watch Q1...they're going to stuff the channel again to buy more time.

This company does not care about shareholders. Why is Novell not more vocal (honest) about the screwy situation with their multiple state campuses and they're plans for such. Watch that 1 billion go. As long as the current board is in place this company will unlikly go anywhere but down. This bunch as proven their incompetence time and time again.

Under normal circumstances I would never say anything like this, but the whiner label struck a nerve. I'm going to laugh at the next generation of suckers as they are sitting there shaking their heads saying "I just don't understand what went wrong". I will also answer that question for all of you now...nothing went wrong, the company simply continues to follow it's historical patterns and new investors simply didn't research this company thoroughly enough. Look at a four or five year chart for starters. MSFT (whom I despise) is going to roll this baby over and Novell will likely become a low income housing project. Perfect for those welfare folks who need to constantly commute between California and Utah.

Good luck to all with this dog. This company is dirty.
