You're exactly right, Wayners. The conventional conservative wisdom on the concept of a boycott is that it is leftist in nature. While I appreciate that view, I respectfully disagree in the current political environment. We're in a civil cold war that is rapidly warming. Why would we want to knowingly fund our enemies? I have long thought that conservatives should organize and target companies to withhold our commerce from.

It's really a tough call, because if we picked company ABC and XYZ, I'm sure that many good conservatives who are simply poor, work for those companies and would be hurt financially, along with their innocent families. We don't want that to be the outcome at all. It's really a tough call.

The big difference ... Bush, as much as I sometimes disagreed vehemently with him, didn't have to do any thing wrong to get totally lambasted in the media. Now, Obama can pull his daily shenanigans, lie, distort, racially insult people, or whatever, and the media completely ignores it ... and finds some reason to compliment him for something every day.

I watch very, very little TV anyway ... mostly just the local news and maybe an occasional Pawn Stars or fishing show .... so boycotting NBC would certainly be no big deal to me. But the dedicated couch potatoes would never think of it. They'll never do anything that might deprive them of any of their "rights" ... LOL
