The Amazon prime option, with free two day shipping, is extraordinary, and has to be a a money loser for the company.

Amazon will start applying sales tax to buyers in Texas on July 1. I'm sure local merchants dig this. I will have to start searching for other options...automatic 8.25% price increase for Amazon Texas customers. :( I suspect the sales tax issue will spread once other states see what Texas did (they billed Amazon for over $200 million in sales taxes...Amazon agreed to start charging tax in Texas PLUS open a distribution center in the Dallas area...and Texas canceled the tax bill). big
