Human beings are new to this "global game" even running nations democratically, industrial economies & even global banking but why everything has to be compared to religion is alittle beyond me , just better have an exit strategy in place for its still is eat or be eaten when it comes to supply , demand & the purchasing power of your future money , ala the Fed vs our foreign debt .

As for green house gasses & fear of global warming something you may have noticed related on a larger market scale with the plunge in NatGas prices and the fall into the abyss of coal stocks which fortunes have been made shorting last 6mos . There definitely has been a huge effect here in those stocks which just a cash tip here, might be bottoming ?

No reason to deny that for all the controversy about GW it has placed a bounty & fueled a race for developing cleaner coal burning plant technology , which even the GW deterents must admit is a better thing than not . China still putting in one coal/energy plant a week , lot greener now , religion or no religion and the stats of carbon concentrations are nearly double @ 400ppms since the advent of the industrial age .

China leads the way on cleaner coal even as it burns more

Shorting coal stocks all the while has been "free money" which you rarely get in any market and beat any other investment hands down .

Funny , men have fought most & many wars over religious & imagined deities , but don't think we'll see one fought over global warming , all it can do is costs some misplaced money on science but that has a funny way of always translating back into the economy . Look at the space program itself with trillions spent , was it worth it? With all that research , uncounted things learned , technologies gained and hopefully an ispiration for young people to seek to make careers in all related fields .

Of course the most lethal strikes from a equally advanced foriegn power could always be necessarily launched from satellite orbits , science is a tool & a weapon , the same could be said of the other but so far science seems to have the upper hand in promoting international cooperation , peace on earth & prosperity by even the most casual glance at state of things now .

Lets see just how the Muslim Brotherhood does in power in Egypt , they have waited patiently for 75yrs for just this opportunity for control. The template there is to be like Turks who have succeded in marrying both belief & a certain modicum of secularism together sucessfully keeping the extremist fundamentalist elements at bay .
