Suppose Holder’s contempt citation goes before the House and is sustained.

What happens then?

It goes TO Holder who is supposed to take it and prosecute. Yeah, I can see that happening.

“It’s a very simple question. Who authorized Fast and Furious? We don’t have an answer yet.”

Jorge Ramos of Univision not happy about Fast & Furious

Jorge Ramos, journalist at Univision, the huge Spanish network, has been calling for answers in the Fast and Furious scandal, tweeting,” “It’s a very simple question. Who authorized Fast and Furious? We don’t have an answer yet.”

Ramos, in particular, was offended earlier this year when he posed the question of Fast and Furious to Obama and was given the condescending response, “the United States is a big country.”

In addition, Ramos was angry because the Obama campaign had used Ramos’ image in a campaign ad as well as the name of Univision without permission. He released a statement saying:

“A few hours ago the Obama reelection campaign aired an ad using my image
and that of Noticias Univisión. I want to make clear that I reject the use of my likeness and that of Noticias Univisión in any election campaign. We have let the Obama campaign and the White House know, and we want to leave a public notice of our disagreement. We have always defended our journalistic integrity and will always continue to do so.”

Senator: 'I Have Not Been Impressed with Holder's Intelligence'

Jun 13, 2012 • By DANIEL HALPER
weeklystandard.com

Texas senator John Cornyn called into question the intelligence of Attorney General Eric Holder earlier today in a radio interview. "Do you think Holder is smart?," radio host Laura Ingraham asked Cornyn. "I have not been impressed with his intelligence," Cornyn responded.

The radio spot followed-up on Cornyn telling Holder in a Senate hearing yesterday that the attorney general should resign. "You’ve violated the public trust in my view by failing to perform the duties of your office. So, Mr. Attorney General it is with more sorrow than with regret and anger that I would say you leave me with no alternative but to join those who call on you to resign your office," Cornyn directly told Holder yesterday.

Cornyn addressed the reason for that incident today with Ingraham.

"The cover-up is frequently worse than the original offense," Cornyn said referring to the Fast and Furious scandal. "The original offense was letting 2,000 high-caliber weapons walk without surveillance by the ATF and the DOJ. One border patrol agent, Brian Terry, was killed with those weapons. And there’s been a cover-up almost ever since by the Department of Justice, including Eric Holder."

Cornyn later added: "This is really the culmination of a couple of years of misbehavior by the attorney general. He needed to decide whether he was going to be the chief law enforcement officer of the country or a political arm of the Obama administration, and he chose the latter."

When asked whether Holder is guilty of "corruption or incompetence," the Texas senator said, "It’s corruption, in the sense that he’s pursuing a political agenda and not being loyal to his oath to defend and uphold the laws of the United States."

But Cornyn acknowledged his call for Holder to resign might not be effective. "We have 146 days to the election and maybe that’s the answer to retire President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder through the political process and the vote. At this point, that looks the most practical way to rid the nation of Holder and President Obama."

Nancy Pelosi Botches Brian Terry's Name While Addressing Congress on Holder Contempt Charges

By Noel Sheppard | June 28, 2012

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), while speaking on the House floor opposing the contempt charges of Attorney General Eric Holder, actually botched the name of slain border patrol agent Brian Terry.

As she expressed condolences to his family, Pelosi called him "Brian Tay, Tay, Terry" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

NANCY PELOSI: I think we all also agree, I think we all very, very much agree that we are very sad and seek justice for the family of border patrol agent Brian Tay, Tay, Terry. His loss is a tragedy for all who knew him, for all of us who care about him, and we offer our condolences to his family. So sad.

You would think someone would actually know how to pronounce the name of the person you're expressing condolences for.

Shows how on top of this investigation the Minority Leader is, doesn't it?
