>> We need to ask ourselves if it is time to change and have health care for all individuals

That's a great discussion.

There are 2 major aspects to consider; How do we finance healthcare and what is healthcare.

Certainly treating bacterial diseases and viral diseases and broken arms are a part of healthcare. Hopefully on that we all agree.

But, since the nation has established that birth control is also a part of healthcare, we need to consider all aspects of lifestyle that have an impact on an individual's health.

For me personally;
good nutrition is an important part of my health.
exercise is an important part of my health.
lodging, clothing, environmental conditions are an important part of my health.
Recreation, sleep, sex, employment are all factors that affect my psychological and mental health.

For some around here, recreational drug use is an important part of one's health ;-)

Some may argue that every aspect of human lifestyle activity contributes to the individual's health prognosis.

How much on one's healthcare needs to be paid for by others?

For a universal health care law to succeed it has to be one that has the endorsement of both parties. In some ways I think it would be better if Obama care was overturned as it would help force an agreement on health policy. If it stays in effect, legally, the Republicans will continue to try and overturn it by political means.

If the Court overturns it then it will force everybody to take a long hard look at what will work.
