Hi Kevin, the pro's (conservative block money for lack of a better term), are/have moved into an area I thought plausible at the beginning of the Asian drama. Business's that have their market and take their profits in North America.. retailers, local markets, utilities, telecom and local banks without exposure. The techs have sold off (as everyone on this thread knows), they appear to be good candidates, but the ticker action clearly shows there's no consensus on the price/profit picture. KLAC, KLIC, AMAT, CPQ, TLAB... a much longer list of similar companies where waiting is prudent IMO. I've never been a "bear." My opinion is because the charts don't look satisfied on the downside.

From a longer view of history, its imperative that currency and trade issues be resolved to greater volumes of interactivity instead of isolationism or protectionism.

Regarding Martha Stewart... an interesting problem. I have to admire her spunk, single minded ability and courage to take on the good house keeping establishment. Its a big business arena which I'm sure took its toll on her being a happy cookie. Also, while we praise the single and independent achiever in this country for winning as the underdog, we are quick to turn on them mocking their success.

>>do you really want to run into Martha Stewart? hmmm...I wouldn't<<

Kevin, my daughter had the rather unpleasant experience of "running into Martha Stewart" a few years ago she was helping some friends open a new restaurant in the Hamptons and she had to deal with her in that setting....it was not a "good thing"<ggg> bp
