It's a PR poll. It's nonsense. They asked questions designed to produce the answers they wanted. E.g. " 84 percent support food safety standards" Well, who is in favor of removing all the food safety regulations, I should like to know? When you think of business regulation, does food safety regulation leap to mind? "the top problem for small business was weak customer demand, not regulations." In this economy, who can wonder?

This is the same Manichean, all-or-nothing political mentality that turns the proposal that women pay for their own birth control into a "War on Women". The poll set up "regulation" against no regulation at all in order to maximize support for regulation.

The poll conducted by Lake Research for three national business organizations – American Sustainable Business Alliance, Main Street Alliance and Small Business Majority...
Three far left organizations which have zero in common with regular businesses.

This article is only tangentially about regulation and is instead propaganda in favor of more Keynesian stimulation. They STILL are all Keynesians now - democrat AND and republican alike. It's Americans who are turning skepical and that's a problem and an opportunity for the propaganda industry..

I find this hard to believe. ........any comments?

[Sarcasm] Believe it.

Only right wing nut jobs (like everyone on this thread) don't get the following:
  • Regulations = Regulators = JOBS!
  • More Civil Servants = JOBS!
  • More JOBS = more Tax revenue
  • More Tax revenue = more JOBS
  • All leading to a SUSTAINED recovery!!
The constant attacks on civil servants reduces JOBS - especially for Teachers and First Responders.

As a result Women and Children are impacted the most.

We MUST change - its for the children!!!!!
[/Sarcasm]

You have to admit - I think this captures Obama's economic policy here :-) The tautological nature of the logic is lost on the left.
