I don't consider CO2 as pollution. As for consuming the oil itself, it appears there is plenty to last us through this phase of our evolution. We have always experienced peak oil at a price. Now, I am a rabid and wacko environmentalist myself (a liberal amongst my conservative friends). The planet has 7 billion humans on it and will soon have 9 billion and we are eating just about every other sizeable species into extinction. I am concerned and powerless to do anything about the growth of the human population.
