MacDailyNews Take: From what’s we’ve seen from Microsoft to date (Blurry Ass Tablet™), Apple, as long as they continue to execute with even half the focus they’ve shown for the last 15 years, is already uncatchable.

ZunePads saddled with Windows of any stripe simply aren’t going to cut it.

People who actually use iPads know that they do not “suck for productivity apps.” That is extremely weak, yet widely-sown FUD from the iPad roadkill.
That reminds me. As I already said elsewhere, last night I got back from Boston, where for four days I photographed the Theatre Communications Group Conference. Because it was my job to cover as much of it as possible, I crawled through every breakout session and every other event taking place there. I cannot tell you how many iPads I saw. Countless. People even ran mind blowing presentations off them, most notably DJ SPOOKY whose live musical presentation driven by his iPad blew everyone away! Here is his free app, millions downloaded: App Store - DJ Spooky. He sang praises for Apple up and down, for minutes on end! I mean, free Apple advertising out the wazoo!

I also saw one woman with a Xoom, cursing it, and one key presenter's PC netbook freeze.

There were over 500 US theaters represented at this conference. Score HUGE for Apple. HUGE!!!
