I find a set of AA's to be priceless. I turn my digital loose at the dances with a notice to snap away. Several always do and get better pictures than I take. So the batteries always run out. Get lithium batteries for the camera. They're more expensive but last a lot longer than the standard Duracell or Engergizer alkaline. What kind of add on features to the mouse are you talking about? IMO, the most important feature is to have one of those scrollie wheels to work your way through pages.
