Orbitz has found that people who use Apple's Mac computers spend as much as 30% more a night on hotels, so it is showing them different, and sometimes costlier, travel options than Windows visitors.
I don't have a problem with that. They aren't charging the Mac users more for the same rooms. They are just offering them more of the higher-priced options, based on their observed shopping behavior.

Surveys have shown that Mac users are, on average, more affluent than Windows users. It stands to reason that they would select more expensive hotel rooms more often.

It could also mean that on average Apple users either come from higher income bracket or they just have better taste. I vote for the latter.
