Japan has had huge deficits for years along with super low interest rates. Krugman explains why this is the case. Krugman makes more sense to me than the deficit hawks and his predictions have been far more accurate.

I can only say I would endorse Krugman's thinking above yours on economics. Amazing how amateurs think they know more than professionals in various fields.
