Look at Condi Rice. She sides with the party that says we do not have money to build our roads and highways resulting in the highway bill languishing in Congress. But then, like her party colleagues, she is also advocating that we send money to arm the Syrian rebels who are out there killing innocents caught in the crossfire. We do not even know who the rebels are. It is very likely that they are anti-American, more than Assad is. I wonder why we have not learnt our lesson from arming Osama against the Soviets. I thought Condi was an intellectual and could think out reasonably well particularly in light of our experience of arming Osama. But apparently she is as much of a blockhead as other folks in her party including Romney are.
