PORTOLA VALLEY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 25, 1997--Router
sales grew at a sluggish 5 percent over the second quarter
to $1.3 billion while Remote Access sales were flat at $600
million.

Low End Routers and FRADs experienced the highest growth, each
segment increasing 15 percent over the previous quarter.
Access Concentrator revenues declined for the first time by
3 percent, while Access Servers recovered, growing by 12
percent. The net effect was flat quarter-to-quarter revenue
growth for the Remote Access market.
