And at Cato@Liberty, John Samples highlights the decision as a reminder that “if one justice in the Citizens United majority leaves the Court, and President Obama selects his replacement, Citizens United will almost immediately be overturned.”
I would not be surprised to see this as the new Republican litmus test for approving SC judges. Should Obama win reelection and the Dems retain control of the Senate, the Reps may well filibuster any SC appointee that does not clearly support upholding Citizens United.

Hopefully, the Dems will make that a very large issue, not give in. But . . .
