No such luck with the latest Retina MBP. Pay way too much for what you need up front and forget about upgrading, ever, entirely.
Yes, I do see that it has that drawback. It's a trade-off for the extreme miniaturization of a very powerful system.

People said that the built-in batteries in MacBook Pros were a huge mistake, too. Nobody seems to mind them anymore, and other companies have started building notebooks like that now.
