Logical for sure, that's why each political party with candidates in a general election is allowed to have
"poll watchers" inside sitting and observing the process at each precinct to assure that people don't vote who are not registered to vote and who do not live in the voting precinct.

Voter registrars throughout the state work diligently with substantial staff to assure that voters are citizens and are registered with each precinct having a list of pre-qualified registered voters. There is also a date by which a person must be registered. They also receive a voter registration card for their precinct..

Regardless, there are always some who attempt to vote in more than one precinct ------ pretend to be voting for a father who died with the same name, vote in two precincts while registered in only one.

Pretty clear and simple.
