Now that the SC has upheld Obama on healthcare and immigration, he is pretty well set even through a second term as far as having solid ground to work from to get big things done. Tax reform won't be an issue for SC, and immigration reform is really the only other biggie Obama has tried and not gotten anywhere on yet.

I thought he'd vote to kill. I really thought Roberts would go the other way.
Ditto here. I heard Ezra Klein argue this position last night and thought he was exactly right, that Roberts' network is far too embedded in the right wing lawyer tribe and that he could not vote counter to that. Less he lost friendships, etc.

Still trying to figure this one out. But, at the moment, this looks like a very large political win for Obama.
