The Commerce clause, it seems, has been the main vehicle for expansion of federal power. I wonder if this decision will put some breaks on the use of that clause in the future?

Who knows? It sends the message that new taxes are legal only as taxes, but it rewarded a scheme that called the new tax an individual mandate and denied it was a tax.
