Stan, more thoughts on Jack King.

I am biased. Not only do I have a significant short position in Zitel's stock but I have a personal problem with Mr. Jack King. Let me explain.

We all make mistakes. I have posted some incorrect information on this thread (in haste or ignorance) and have admitted the errors in subsequent posts. But Jack King NEVER admits he was wrong - it is always the "stupid Nevada programmers", MatriDigm is late, the market is late, stupid managers, lawyers on vacation, etc. Mr. King is an excuse MACHINE!

But King's comments are much worse than mistakes. His comments bring up the topic "What is a lie?" As children, this is easy to answer - but as adults the lines become a little hazy. Let me give this example from experience:

A company president asked a salesperson to call an existing customer and determine if there were any product problems. A few days later, the president asked the salesperson: "Did the customer report any problems with the product?" The salesperson answered "No".

The following day, the customer called the president and complained about several problems with the product! The president confronted the salesperson with this information. The salesperson said: "You didn't ask if I had called the customer - just if the customer had reported any problems. Since I hadn't called the customer yet - "no" was a truthful answer".

Was the salesperson a liar? IMO, yes. I believe Mr. King would say no - that the salesperson was truthful.

Regards, Bill
