The point I was driving at was HOW do you know what is an appropriate document request and what ISN'T? What is just a politically driven fishing and mud throwing expedition?

For example... many of the documents requested of late are dated from long *after* said program was shut down (so... what relevance?), and many of the requested docs would have required anyone who turned them over to commit CRIMES... reveal the names of currently undercover agents, putting their lives in jeopardy and possibly trashing prosecutions and years of prosecutorial work, break Court mandated seals, etc., etc. What about those? Can the DOJ be compelled to break the law in furtherance of a Congressional investigation?
