>>"In the 20 years or so I've been working with physician practices, I have never seen the number of docs retire at an early age as I have in the last year. Now, I can't prove it is typical or why it I'm seeing it, but I've heard a number of them mention the downright hassle of having government in their business as a contributing factor. I've not seen physicians walk away from Medicare & Medicaid like I have in the last two years -- and it is easy to see why: most specialties lose money on seeing these patients. It is my belief most simply do not KNOW how bad it is for their bottom lines to see MCR/MCD patients. One of our business interests is in the business of showing them just that, and I've seen their eyes opened. If I were a physician I would run like hell from government payers"<<

Oh yeah, how could you be so dumb to be involved in this Government controlled medical business? Man, you had better "run like hell from this government payer" world you are so sure is destroying our health care "system".

Btw, what is this health care "system" that is being destroyed by a government "takeover"? Is it the one that developed only because Unions such as the UAW fought for employer provided heath care and got it even though management and conservatives fought against it and the Progressives fought for Medicare/Medicaid and got it even though repugs and conservatives fought against it.

And then the medical profession made incredible financial gains just because of those two reasons. Now you tell us that the early age doctors are retiring because of Medicare, etc...What does that mean? Will they have to sell their private jets, their gated homes in Aspen and Naples, give up their paybacks from the pharmas, stop paying for their kids to go to Medical School so they can also retire early after they have also sucked up at the Government trough they so "despise".

You are as usual,...full of BS.

This is short term, though, doctors who grew up in the old system. Doctors coming in more recently will have different expectations and be more inured to government involvement. Kind of like the frog in the boiling water.
