"You've just discovered something immaterial in an material Universe!" Sorry to disappoint you! You miss my point entirely. Thoughts are very real. Just as a computer display is very real. The point is that all existence expresses as attributes of energy and matter. Even space is real. The famous "nothing" that seduces so many is what we call space even if it is nothing else. A deer has very few ideas. Probably not very complex ones. But streams of light entering the eye are real matter. Likewise with sound waves and wind particles and the scrape of branches. This material is processed by other real matter and vision, etc. happens and the neural matter of the deer continues to react to these and millions and millions of other simultaneous events. All matter. All we humans add to that mix is a more complex CPU. No soul or Spirit. These are inventions. Brains can invent things that do not exist...unless you wish to believe that everything (and it would have to be EVERYTHING) that one imagines has an actual existence! Take the blind moon bat with 761,000 eyes and a nose 17 galaxies long that lives in a thimble inside the eye of Our Man Zeus! Just discovered something immaterial? Nope! The idea is not immaterial. I just displayed the idea and you received it (we call communication of concepts, "ideas"--uh huh!) But what it refers to is immaterial. I.E. it does not exist. What it really refers to and which really does exist is a pattern of matter and energy within my neural coding which utilizes my senses and stored data to display a concept and utilises my body to communicate it to you. In this case, I am typing these thoughts into another complex system which uses a huge database and a complex processor to decode my "thoughts" and send them to every corner of the earth. These "thoughts" are not travelling through the ether--no more than were these "thoughts" when they travelled through my internal wiring. Yet they are my thoughts and they did get to you and they do have all sorts of attributes! By the way, always have a qualified electrician make changes to your service panel. Never attempt these changes on your own...
