Loco

The healthcare law was going to expend Medicaid for many people living just above the poverty level. They were going to force the states to do this by threatening to withhold all federal Medicaid funds if they didn't. The Supreme Court said the feds can't do this. When states opt out of this expansion. and they will because they don't have the money, these people will now be subject to the tax or penalty. Look for Blacks and Hispanics to be hardest hit.

This is the most regressive tax that the democrats have passed since Social Security. I suspect most of the people in this category voted for Obama. I don't feel sorry for them. They are getting what they desrve.

They may not be able to afford the premium or pay the penalty but they will do it. I think there will be a new cottage industry called health insurance loans and the Federal Government will create a new bureaucracy in HHS to guarantee those loans. So you get your loan from the Feds to pay for the astronomical healthcare premium to get the $500K surgery for nothing. Then you default on the loan and the taxpayer and the insured have picked up the whole tab.
