Glad he's happy. At least he doesn't have to wait in line to get one of the few that will sell (unless they gave it to him for free, for gushing), prior to Landfill Time.

" Thanks to Project Butter, the 7 feels nearly as smooth the iPad. No major kinks, blips, or bumps to speak of — at least so far."

This is not an insignificant development, IMO. If it works as advertised, it will address one of the main complaints about Android (laggy, choppy, unresponsive). My wife has a Nexus S running Ice Cream Sandwich, and while it is better than Gingerbread, it is still noticeably choppier than iOS and WP7.

This is what I'm talking about. Screw 7". If smaller than 10", then 5"! Skip crowded 7" altogether and beat this 5" gem, Apple, with a Retina display, like QUICK! Please. I'm begging you!

Samsung Galaxy Note II specs: 5.5-inch display, narrower body

Also:

it’s disheartening and a bit defeating that some of my favorite applications aren’t available for the Nexus 7

don’t mind the smaller screen size

outshines the existing class of Android-powered tablets, the Kindle Fire included

Jump for joy!

Also, wonder what she will say when she has had it for more than 48 hours.

:-)

Who'd want a Nexus?

They're all replicants!

bladerunner.wikia.com

And they made Nexus-7 as a Pad?

I guess that solves of problem of having to hunt them down and "retire" them when they go bad since a Pad Can't run very far. And what are the preloaded pictures of? A mommy and a daddy pad?

Okay I've got to go retire myself.
