the logic for running big ad campaigns for food stamps makes absolutely no sense to me.

the commercials here in California talk about the new branding of "CalFresh" and the commercials are all about eating healthy, but when you drive down the blvd you will see Carl's Jr and Jack in the Box saying "Now Accepting EBT"

“Throw a Great Party. Host social events where people mix and mingle,” the agency advises. “Make it fun by having activities, games, food, and entertainment, and provide information about SNAP. Putting SNAP information in a game format like BINGO, crossword puzzles, or even a ‘true/false’ quiz is fun and helps get your message across in a memorable way.”

Why stop there? Why not offer all expenses paid trips for Food Stamp conventions in Las Vegas and Honolulu where attendees can then sign up for "distributive justice" and the taxpayers' "fundamental change" in addition to food stamps? Imagine, seminars on finding ways to qualify all your neighbors for food stamps using the "Barack Obama Way" ("You Too Can Be a Community Organizer!"), or how to get the most for your food stamps (return half your "bad" food to the store for replacement or refund). How about food tastings and a film event, "The Return of Gluttony?" And of course, free trinkets, bumper stickers and t-shirts emblazoned with the new rallying cry, "Quest for Food!" And don't forget another reason for all this merriment, all night hotel parties with free Viagra for all!

It's really not hard to visualize in this day and age.
