Some folks might argue that five years as a stock market speculator would give one more credibility than a PhD in economics. My economics profs were socialists at best, and probably would not have done very well in the market.

Sam,
If you believe in even a weak form of market efficiency, a trader/
speculator who can survive intact for five years is far more intelligent and intutive about market dynamics and economics than somebody whose entire experience is in abstracting and reducing real
world problem to fit into a very limited, empirically testable logical
model.

"I have not attempted to discredit anyone's views."

Hunh?

You mean a friendly and sympathetic comment such as: "Your friend at dim whitted moron stanley may have it backwards."?

Mr. Citron, please observe the proprieties of civil discourse in this courtroom and refrain from needless slurs and innuendoes! You may now rephrase your comment. Maybe even spell "dim-witted" correctly.

I sympathize with the latest people that Joe bit on the leg, but you just have to get used to it. If you will listen to him you will learn a lot.
