"Go ahead & insert your design for no one's stopping you from belief in the divine " Holy Father " template or gathering together for community , mutual support & cooperation" But make it a civilized one! The Old Testament was the result of primitive tribal struggles in pre-scientific climes. The Jesus movement was somewhat better but still suffered from absurdities, cruelties, racism, and very regrettable ideas. And the modern "design" movement is such a thin cover for Christian Fundamentalism that it engenders the least respect of all. The next 35,000 Christian Sects ought to be able to work something out! Perhaps something like "Yahweh intended us to find the very best of human values in peace and cooperation through the use of reason and to improve upon values and morals generation to generation--always holding fundamental human rights and freedoms to a de facto pre-eminence." We could live with that... -g-
