Bill - believe it or not - I think these conversations are very important. In a perfect world, where we would know all the "facts" on a company - we could make rational decisions, right? But since many of these speculative situations, are by definition, not at all clear, much of what goes on is obviously conjecture. Now, if people are able to take advantage of such situations, by portraying a situation, or making claims re: stock price, news coming, etc etc, the inexperienced
person may be enticed into a situation in which they do not fully
understand the risk. So, we need both sides of the conjecture, and as many facts as are available. We actually really do need it all.
Then we can make a decision. It is great.
I think everyone should state their opinion, and be ready for lots of feedback. Lets get more.
So now re the $40 - the whole point of the quote was that we have one opinion - that said the stock was going to $40. Based on what? Many, including myself would find this to be a very, very, slim possibility. Leading to the smoking thing. That is what it is about - so I am waiting for an answer -but from the party who made the statement.
