Excellent points and questions, Lorne. One of the core conservative principles regarding the judicial process is ensuring that activist judges and activist courts do not exist and do not rewrite existing laws to suit their own personal agendas. As everyone knows, judges and courts are only supposed to interpret the laws and not read into the laws or rewrite the laws. Chief Justice Roberts absolutely violated the tenets of a healthy, non-activist judiciary, which is a slap in the face to all conservatives.

His actions were utterly illogical. That is why I am completely convinced that external forces control the government. There is absolutely no other explanation for Congress approving TARP or for Roberts approving Obamacare. Both outcomes were completely illogical, completely unconstitutional, and highly unpopular across America.

With a government of the people, by the people, and for the people, there is no way in Hades that either TARP or Obamacare should have been enacted. That means that someone much more powerful has the final say in the actions of the government rather than the voters. It is as obvious as the day is long.

What president, senator, congressman, governor, or judge would care if they were voted out if they were set for life by the hidden hands? They need only make the unpopular votes, go home, retire, and live easy until you die. They need only keep their mouths shut. That's exactly what they did with TARP and Obamacare. If there is another rational explanation, I would love to hear it.
