Short memories? Yawn...the last "downgrade to AVOID/SELL" was made just a few months ago when CUBE last touched 18. The stock went almost straight up afterwards. Just a reminder.

BTW JOHN , I agree that the beginning of a price war has started in China(for the 2nd time) but it will have little affect on the chips that Cube is providing. I believe that the war is amongst the manufacturers of the Vcd units themselves. Idall a strong Cube end user is the Company that is triggering this price war in order to drive out the smaller manufacturers. Cubes CL480 and CL680 are still priced around $8.50 to $9.00 and $10.50 to $11.50 respectively. The chip prices are not dropping but the Vcd init is down to about $115/unit. Additionally, the Vcds are selling like they never have before. I agree w/you that Cube will not have Strong 4thqtr. ; I believe that they will reflect a very strong 4th qtr instead.

Remember Cube has 70% of market share now not the 55% to 60% that they had earlier this spring and summer.

The reason for the drop, I'm frightened silly about a possible take over buy some major Company trying to leap frog the rest of the field. If cube keeps dropping the $35 to $40/share will look good to some but really bad to us longs!! Just my opinion tho---nothing else.

Happy thanksgiving Cubers
