I don't pretend to be able to see the future with certainty, as some do.

Some like Obama and the Democrats in congress, who see that this will greatly increase the number of insured (putting out specific figures like 30 million, which I believe you used as well so apparently you think you have some ability to see the future with some certainty), reduce costs, etc. If predictions about the future can not be so certain, then maybe imposing a top down 3000 page plan full of mandates and prohibitions wasn't such a good idea. It would probably be better to try more of what you called for before, incremental change and evolution. This law is anything but incremental, and it cuts off a lot of possible evolution.

Also your claim of "no such thing as preexisting conditions", seems to be a prediction about the future. (And obviously false one as coverage will not be universal).
