I've been following MOOR for a while and decided to jump in today at .75

I think they may surprise. They are concentrating on the build-out and don't seem to be distracted by the politics of FCC licensing.

Dan and all,

Perhaps it's my cautious nature, perhaps it's because I don't trust anybody regarding investments, but every now and then I come across something which raises a red flag. This time it is with our favorite company, Chadmoore Wireless.

Looking at the industry information and statistics (top 200 licensees of cellular, PCS and ESMR carriers, ranked by population) from Wireless Week, I tried to find where Chadmoore ranked. The list ranges from AT&T Wireless, serving a quarter billion population to MACtel Cellular, with two markets serving about a quarter million.

The last Chadmoore company bulletin stated a buildout of 154 markets (5.5K of 7K licenses built out) serving about 40 million population. This would have ranked Chadmoore at #16, just ahead of SBC Communications, which include Southwestern Bell and Pacific Bell Mobile Services, in terms of population served.

Chadmoore is not ranked #16. One could speculate this is because Chadmoore doesn't have the licenses yet. These only comes with application to FCC following buildout. Tony Wellwood (Chadmoore operations VP) told me Chadmoore is already operative in 48 states, including Hawaii which, I assume should translate into at least 48 markets.

Guess what. Chadmoore is not even on the list!

Maybe the answer is that Chadmoor's service is plain old SMR and not "enhanced" SMR, whatever that term means (digital? - like we don't count analog anymore).

If any of you can fill in this blank for me, I would sure appreciate.
Probably worth another telephone call to the company.

One more thing. The list can be found in wirelessweek.com if I knew how to imbed the article in this thread I would have. For future information, anybody out there smart enough to tell me how to do that? Thanks.

Bill

PS - I just found out. You simply stick the hypertext address in the thread!!!
