"Humans must appear loathsome to chimps" That would make sense. They are our primitive ancestors and have very small brains. Rational thought seems mostly beyond them, although some studies have shown they can learn primitive tool skills such as poking a stick into a banana. A recent Science article showed research where a certain type of advanced Chimp built nests. It will be interesting how Scientific Research continues to illuminate the "consciousness" of these fascinating creatures for us! It is somewhat like taking a time machine into our own ignorant past before the wheel, fire, and thrilling sexual positions! When beating your chest and pawing was a sign of manhood. -g-
