Apple makes a good profit, so even if you figure, conservatively that they make say 25%, you'd probably be in the ballpark, so Apple would have to sell four times as many iPads as originally stated to break even from the extortion fee.

The following is from 2010 and is an estimate of Apple's profit on the iPad back then:
