The way it's going to really work is all of the huns, visigoths and vandels are going to loot the healthcare prodivers and the providers are going to raise prices. This is basic economics. Capacity constrained, limited number of doctos, limited number of RNs, limited testing devices, limited drugs, limited operating rooms. You will see insurance premiums rising in order to cover the freeloaders. As prices go up, more and more people are going to say, hey I can't afford this, I have to pay the tax instead and if I do get sick, I can just reup after I get sick. When people who have been paying the tax get sick and then take out LOANS to pay for insurance, their costs further make insurance rates go even higher! Insurance is going to be prohibitively expensive and out of the reach of most people without a new industry where you borrow money in order to pay for the insurance. If it didn't work like that. The Govt is going to make a lot of money off of the Tax and Bankers are going to make a lot of money off of the loans. See how this works?
