Article in today's WSJ concerning UPS situation. Referenced the pilots union negotiations which will resume in January. Mentioned that the contract expires this month and that the pilots have already authorized a strike. Said that the pilots and UPS are currently $500 million apart (yes, half a billion). Also said that the pilots honored the Teamsters during the previous strike. As a result, the Teamsters will honor the pilots strike if one should happen. Article stated that UPS cannot risk another strike even if it has to accept a costly pilots contract. They aren't out of the woods yet, probably could use a new compass.
