Is that correct?
There is NO way of knowing, and to me it doesn't matter. Some would argue the news was leaked that
Friday. Others would say AAPL gained 14 because the 20 and 50 day moving averages held (see below).
Others would say AAPL was oversold and had done a good job of holding moving averages since last April.
Main thing is that it is moving now.
