"one year ago" One of the "Some of the Best Things in Life are Free for Lifetime SI Members." once again became Free again for me when Brad returned and brang back honor to "SI give thanks and deep appreciation to the lifetime and grandfathered people that helped propel the vision of this web site insurrection to successfully do battle and break into the lines of those holding captive market analysis."

That being for me, a Lifetime member, a return of the Advanced Search feature taken away from me in a desperate attempt to obtain needed revenue.

I'm sure the "I'm sorry Dave, I can't do that." person as Hall Monitor back then when he and two others had ownership of this web site and the one the good doctor Zeev needed to relocate for lack of stability here, that my suggestion delivered to one of those owners of a "Happy Hour" suggestion, at first being thought not much of, soon became an accepted policy "over there" that remains to this day as policy based on the fact that it adds to the bottom line there when Free members discover the advantage in market research having access to all Premium features and upgrade from Free (most with ad blocking software) to cash paying members.

Of the three owners, not one thank me for that suggestion turn worth, especially not the one I submitted that suggestion to here on SI in a PM.

That thank you would have been more than enough for me to have a balance in trade, but as it never arrived and my access to the Advanced Search was removed I submitted a petition to the 2001 Hall Monitor here at that time of events to have the Happy Hour suggestion used on their other web site translate into me obtaining back that Advanced Search feature as a fill-in for a thanks they seem unable to send.

It seemed that they had a view set in concrete of possessing all insight into what is good and proper for a message board.

Perhaps they failed to understand that excellent coding ability is dime-a-dozen, and the important aspect to a message board is to understand not so much the human interface, but the human experience which is of the psychological sciences.

The revelation that having a clean and simple interface between people, and a person and a thing was made before humans created the wheel, probably understood before thoughts had a language of words.

Excellent coding for a message board web site, executed with a clean and simple interface, and later having features added to enhance the experience is somewhat mechanical as that path as a framework in near all areas has been accepted as good common sense throughout Earth's long history, and if not done, chaos.

How a good structure is used holds the key to success or not, as that happens independent of the code that built it.

Put simply, to remain intact depends on tact.

The operator of a good machine or excellent service can drive that utility to failure or success, as that happens after the machine or service is created, like a message board.
