Thanks Karen ! I remember that pledge I undertook when I became a US citizen, with 1 exception - I declined the word "God". The State Department provided an acceptable replacement word.

Done Deal, I became a US Citizen. (This was on Aug 26 , 2003)

One of the true loons I joust with absolutely forgets the concept of Republic. He is all for majority rules.
